GTD - Getting Things Done
|
Well, I started getting interested in Getting Things Done as an idea after stumbling across various links around the web. I discovered the methods are from a book written by David Allen (which I don’t own) and the idea is quite simple really. It’s dedicated to organising your time to avoid procrastination by a collection of to-do lists really and is proving to be quite a good thing after a few days of use. I’ve kinda adopted the Pig Pog method of this and my to-Do list collections are typically: !Daily – things I have to do every day !Weekly – things I have to do each week @_nextactions – the immediate things I have to do @WaitingFor – items that I’m waiting on other people for SomeDay – those little things you’d really like to get round to doing. It was initially quite daunting as my to-do list grew massively but it does make my days significantly more focused. I’ll pass in more findings as the days pass by as the acid test will be to see if the novelty wears off. It would also seem that my recent Pocket PC purchase would make this quite easy to do on the move too! |
