So the site hasn't been updated in a week or so. This is because of technical shit, not laziness on our part - the site has still been being worked on. There is now a new feature in the GIGS section (which will be working in the next few days), where by you can submit a show straight into our inbox (I know opening a new browser for that shit is whack). Please feel free to send as many shows as you can muster up. Weï¿½ve put some new music in the BANDS/MP3 section (which again, I am uploading as we speak so if the d/l fails come back in a day or two), so check that out too. In the two years since the release of their debut album "Lost for Words, Far from Speechless" the band have been out on the road throughout the UK and Europe with a host of amazing bands such as DISTILLERS, F-MINUS, CAPDOWN, ANTI-FLAG, SNUFF, and GIVE UP THE GHOST. In this time their sound has hardened and their song writing has become much more complex. All this roadwork and development almost bleeds out of the new 12 track album "Balance" (HAUS069) and early reviewers have been very impressed. FIVE KNUCKLE recorded the album at Bink Bonk Studios in Bristol during February and March of this year. This is the same studio that they used for the BIG D split back in 2001 and the results are an aural hand grenade. Look out for great recordings of a few tracks which feature regularly in their live set, like "Not in My Name" and "Circles". As always the whole package is complemented by thought provoking artwork and drawings by drummer Shaun Peters in a massive 24 page booklet. -------------------------------------------------- Household Name will be releasing the long awaited and much anticipated second album by THE FILAMENTS during the summer. cheesescatsandherbsï¿½ is specifically designed to convey the vibrant, positive, Punk/Ska/HC/Metal scene in the UK that's going on right now, and provide a comprehensive guide to anything genre-related. If you live in the UK and aren't familiar with the scene then you're seriously missing out. There are so many talented groups of people making genuine, original, and diverse sounding music within our shores at the moment that we felt it criminal not to advertise the fact. With 99% of our commercial charts being full of manufactured crap there's solitude in this website at least. What's the point in lashing ï¿½50 on a night in the local nightclub getting out of it when you can travel the country seeing great bands and making new friends.

A few friends and I started cheesescatsandherbsï¿½ in the summer of 2003 as a bit of fun to try and learn a little more about computers and try to influence our immediate friends away from the tripe in the commercial UK charts. If you have come to this site and regularly listen to mainstream music then you won't find anything here that interests you I'm afraid. As the months drifted by and the site evolved, gaining more and more feedback, we tailored cheesescatsandherbsï¿½ to provide more of what YOU want - with a large selection of shows happening throughout the year, music from bands we dig, regular photo and video media proving how good the scene is at the moment, links to cool sites, info on venues in the South-East, and a forum and guestbook for you to air your comments.
