| You know I'm shocked to find how many people do not know how to make a cup of tea correctly. This is why I have decided to give step by step instructions. The instructions will be for making tea in a cup as obsessed to making a pot as I'm the only person in my house that drink tea (the rest coffee) so never find the need to, and nor should you! For a pot of tea follow the instructions but use two tea bags or use tea pot tea bags. | |
| 1. Boil some water | Well I would hope most people can get this far without going wrong. Now this is the perfect time to get out that tea bag and chuck it in a cup if you want to be extra efficient! |
| 2. pour water into cup | If you weren't very efficient of course before putting the boiling water in put the tea bag in. Careful you don't spill that water! Here is where mistakes start to happen, at this point DO NOT add any milk or sugar |
| 3. Let the Tea fuse | Ort as it's more commonly known this is where you brew the tea. Probably the biggest mistake people make, only leaving the tea bag in the cup for a very short time, just squashing the tea bag against the side. This does not fuse the tea. You need to let the tea bag and water fuse for about 3-5 minutes (depending on how strong you want it). If you leave it in for only ten seconds or so you will pretty much only get hot water, just a waste of a tea bag really. |
| 4. Take the tea bag out | Make sure you leave it hovering over the cup for a few seconds, you don't want water dripping from the bag over the work surfaces now do you, mummy sure won't be happy! |
| 5. Add what you like | Now it's time to add milk and sugar if you want it, or even honey. Some of you sickos might like to add sweetener |
| 6. Drink up! | Put the cup to you're mouth and begin to sip, CAREFUL! It's still likely to be hot. Now doesn't that taste better? |
