Here are a few facts about Tea you might or might not know. You'll be surprised...unless you know them
  • The most commonly drank tea is Black Tea. Most people believe green tea to be more healthy which is just plain dirty lies made up by disgruntled midgets. Green and black tea have the same level of caffeine and come from the same plant. The only difference is that black the is dried longer.
  • Tea is in fact incredibly good for you. It is able to kill bacteria and build you're immune system. I read that people who drink tea regular (4-6 cups) have a ten times stronger immune system then people who don't (not sure about that last bit, was in the daily mirror after all).
  • "the British Empire was built on cup of tea"- You know in a way that's true, very true in fact. Back during the start of the industrial revolution most people drank tea as apposed to pure water in Britain. People could not understand why it was that Britain could assemble far more and far faster then any other country. You see there was a link, Japan was also able to manufacture as fast as Britain, the link...well tea of course! At the time water was usually not boiled only warmed and it shows that the tea itself was able to take out the impurities of the water of the time, making the British working force stronger and able to work far longer hours.
  • In the 16th Century China ruled the tea trade, as no one else could make it, they were the only ones to know the secrets, as most Chinese people never saw people from other country's and the penalty for letting out the secrets of tea production was punishable by death no one found out. This was until a clever old Scottish guy whoz name has escaped me was able to infiltrate deep into China and learn the secrets. Like I said most Chinese people had never seen any other race so did not clock that he was from another country, just that was what people from another part of China looked like. Now like I said China ruled the tea trade, now this was one big motherfucking trade (yep motherfucking really had to be used to emphasize the scale), it accounted for 60% of world trade! More then MacDonald's, Coca Cola and Microsoft put together. Britain being one of the biggest traders with China quickly pulled out of the trade and began growing tea in the Colonies in India, making the British empire even more powerful then it already was. Britain made it quicker and sold it cheaper, completely destroying the Chinese tea market which in turn destroyed the Chinese finances, which they never really seemed to recover from. China never knew about the cheeky Scottish spy, only recently in fact they have learnt of the story
  • Indian tea is in fact Chinese tea. Now this expands from the last fact. You see that cheeky Scottish man took back plants from china which were used to start the tea growing in India, so the plants are in fact Chinese, making the tea Chinese.
  • Tea goes great with a nice cigarette ;-)
