Well here's a list of five albums I consider to be the greatest, hmm going to be hard to get it down to five. If you disagree you're obviously wrong
1. The Beatles (white album)- The Beatles This album ranks as my favourite album for many reasons. The sheer size of it, 2 disc with 30 tracks. That it is so varied, unlike other albums it doesn't follow a suit. Most of the tracks on this album are really almost solo tracks, at the time each Beatles had his own studio. It's one of those things the white album that you either love or hate it, I have heard this called the greatest album many times and the worst Beatles album many times also.
2. Dark Side of the Moon- Link Floyd You know when I first heard this album I didn't think much of it and wasn't sure why this album got talked about most out of the others which seemed better. I had only heard it on CD before, but tracked down my dads old vinyl collection and found it, gave it a spin and the album just like came alive you know. Most of the Pink Floyd albums flow like you're not sure when one track starts and one ends but on dark side of the moon it's done the best.
3. Magical Mystery Tour- The Beatles Talking about the US LP version, not the EP version that was released in the UK (the EP that you would probably have a task finding now). Probably the Beatles most Psychedelic stuff on this album. Plus how could a album with I am the Walrus not come onto this list?
4. Defiantly Maybe- Oasis Only album made post 70's that came onto this list, brilliant album, probably Oasis best album.
5. Surrealistic Pillow- Jefferson Airplane Hmm you know I'm not really much of an Jefferson Airplane fan really, as most of their stuff really did suck, well pretty much everything after their first album which of course was surrealistic pillow. Is a gem is this one, before all the commercialism and toning down of their message that was extracted from the band. The stand out track being White Rabbit, but it's all good.
