Don't forget the 7-a-side tournament is to be held on Sun.8th August there are to be 8 teams involved I have got enough teams together at the moment I think. But what I am after now is some ideas for making it a fun day out for all the families as well. Not just the cricketers or so called cricketers. The usual BBQ. and raffle will probably go ahead the same as 2 years ago although it was a tombola rather than a raffle. there was also a cake stall as well. I would like to thank all the wives for helping out with the stalls and BBQ. Again a big thankyou to Tim the Gazelle for supplying the burgers and hotdogs also to Pete for the use of the BBQ. Well if you do come up with any suggestions please let me know as there is only a matter of about six weeks to go this is the only bit of fundraising there has been so far this year apart from the aluminium cans that are being collected so let's try and make this a big event. It was a success 2 years ago with 305 being raised so let's go for more. We have new sponsors for the event this year and that comes from David Fyffe from the Netherton Business Centre who is supplying the trophies and a shield so hopefully he is going to keep sponsoring the event for the forseable future, so my thanks to David for doing this for Kemnay Cricket Club. _________________ postie |
