1970 marked the Golden Jubilee of the foundation of the Society and to mark the occasion Musical Director Brian Manners and Producer Roy Deasy composed Golden Revenge. Set in Lyme Regis at the time of the Armada the opera was first presented in Lyme in May 1970 and again, in this production, at the Northcott Theatre in Exeter on November 12th and 13th 1971. |
