Chief Of Security's Log Earthdate 0105.19
Thanks to the calculations of the Science department and some clever wizardry from Gaven's engineers we successfully made the slingshot maneouvre around Earth's sun to arrive back on Earth in the early 21st Century to begin this priority mission in Earth's past.
After beaming down to the Cancer Research Campaign shop in central Wolverhampton, UK we decorated the establishment with our posters and then moved out onto the street outside to begin selling the "Starflower" badges in aid of Cancer Research. Our orders were to sell as many Starflowers as possible before having to beam back to the USS Victoria. The Victoria remained hidden behind Earth's moon so as to mask the warp signature from passing warp-capable races.
The away mission was lead by Admiral Jayne Harris who was joined by myself, Gaven, Karen, Becky and later Nigel. We were also assisted on the day by Kate, Neil and other personnel connected with the CRC shop, who also provided welcome refreshments so we didnt grow too weary. Also, Douglas the psychic tribble aided us in finding people willing to buy Starflowers via his strange mental powers. Later in the day we were also joined by Captain Nigel Harris who had been given special permission from sickbay to aid the mission for a short while.
The away mission lasted for approximately four hours and we sold many of the Starflower badges to the native inhabitants of 21st Century Wolverhampton. Once the mission was complete we beamed back to the ship and are now making preparations to return to the 24th Century. After beamout, we received the following transmission from the CRC shop via ancient 21st century "e-mail" technology....
Just a quick message from us to thank all of the USS Victoria members that came along to the Cancer Research Campaign event on 19th May 2001. It was great that so many of you were able to help out at such short notice.
You raised over £250 in just 4 hours - excellent work!
Maxi big thanks to Jayne, Gareth, Gaven, Karen and Nigel. Extra special recognition must go to Becky who single handedly raised more than half of that on her own - she was amazing!!!
Neil and Kate
The Starflower badges are still available so I urge anyone who reads this log to visit a Cancer Research Campaign Shop pronto and buy your Starflower! (suggested donation £1)
Log Ends.

The shop itself is situated right in the centre of Wolverhampton town centre. So as you can imagine - we attracted lots of interest. Hopefully we didnt violate the Prime Directive too much... Oops!
