NWGEN Conference proceedings – 9th February 2005 This part of the website has presentations and notes from the NWGEN regional conference and launch event. Documents are mainly in Microsoft Word format, with some Excel spreadsheets and Powerpoint presentations. There are also some PDF documents, readable using the freely downloadable Adobe Acrobat Reader (from www.adobe.com). If you have any difficulty opening any of the documents I can probably send them in a different format – please contact me by emailing NWGEN Coordinator. It is also available as a CD - please contact me if you would like a copy. |

The aim is to give you an idea of what happened and what was presented, so that any notes you took yourself can be added to it. It is not a complete record. Some of the flipchart notes will probably only make sense if you were actually at the workshop. However the handouts will be useful even if you weren’t. The evaluation forms highlighted that some of the most valuable aspects of the day went on informally, for instance over lunch, and obviously this can not be easily captured in this sort of report.
The conference was funded partly out of the NWGEN grant from DfID and partly from a grant from Oxfam. We are grateful to both for supporting this event, and development education more generally.
