IntroductionIt first started when I received a letter (having left my details in a book in the Arthur Ransome room at the Abbot Hall Museum) asking for funds to help in the restoration of Amazon. Not having much on at the time, I decided it would be an ideal opportunity to work with a team of other restorers, (thinking a boat museum with in the region of 30 boats would have a few) and exchange skills. When I contacted the Museum however, it turned out that they didn't have any boat builders working for them at the moment, and would I like to be that team! The photographs here are slightly hazy in quality as they were scanned in from contact prints. As soon as I get a scanner that can handle negatives I will redo them. Hope you enjoy them for now. If you want to use any of them, ask and I'll try and supply a higher resolution copy. It'll be appreciated if they are not used without my permission. Thank you. |
