The best approach to tiling any space is to remove as many obstacles as possible. With this particular bathroom we were very lucky in that we were able to totally remove all of the fittings. The floor being wooden needed to be covered with 12mm marine ply wood, this makes the floor stable and solid. This ensures good adhesion and stops grouting cracking due to movement of the floor.
Once the floor
has been made stable measurements were taken, the best starting point was
established and the floor tiled.
24 hours later
(to allow the adhesive to cure and dry) the floor was grouted & cleaned.

Once the floor was tiled any holes in the walls were filled, measurements taken of the walls to establish the best starting point for tiling to keep cuts even the walls were tiled using a non-slip adhesive, use of this sort of adhesive means that there is not the need to put battens on the walls to work up from making it a much quicker and simpler operation.

After tiling the walls, the tiles are grouted and then cleaned leaving the room ready for the bathroom suite to be refitted.

Once the bathroom suite has been fitted and other accessories there are a few finishing touches but the bulk of our work is complete
